Driving around the country lanes in Devon, the bluebells have already arrived in the hedgerows and usually the bluebells growing in the shade of woods follow later.
Holyford Woods near Colyton has their Bluebell Day this Sunday 3rd May 2015. Artists and photographers alike are inspired by the delicate hue of blue of the native bluebells and Anne Cotterill's paintings of them express how the light can filter through their deliate flowers.
